Last summer I edited a student film even though I had already graduated. I don't like to call it a student film because I think people expect something of low quality or "too artsy" when they hear that. It was shot on 35mm.
Our producer's brother did the music. Some of it is pretty interesting. I got really attached to our temp score.
Let me know what you think.

I really liked the music. I do have to put in a vote for the film being a little "artsy" but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I would have liked it better if Derek was in it though. Also, the editing work was splendid.
I remember watching this last summer. It is captivating on many levels. I especially love the music. Hats off to the spectacular editing job as well!
It had a very French feel - that delicate, inner dialogue thing. And a very nice sense of place. The girl was wonderful, and I loved the yellow boots. There were a few tiny continuity problems, but all together, it had such a nice feel, such a quiet and lovely thing.
I don't know anything about editing, Bryce. But the film seemed to have a nice flow - I think, had I noticed the editing, that would be a bad thing, no?
K- This film is directed by a French woman. So that's probably why you felt that way.
Very beautiful Bryce. great editing (not that I know very much about editing), great music ( I do know a bit about music), and awesome directing! It helps that I think Aline is awesome anyway.
Good work!
Just wondering, you guys didn't end up using the shot I did for you right? Didn't Bret Valentine end up doing it?
