I think this is an awesome idea for a documentary; although you're right, the music is way distracting right now. I guess I'll let it slide this time :)
The music drives me nuts. Most of the interviews look like they were shot by a couple of fingerless chimpanzees, and the inconsistency in the cinematography and audio between talking heads really drives me up the wall. Some of the interviewees are also just plain boring (like the Star Wars guy talking about Yoda). And what's the deal with your dad with the guitar in his lap? It looks really unnatural and awkward.
But none of that is your fault, as near as I can tell. If I were you I would just hack, hack, and hack away. I think the idea behind this documentary is really interesting, but I think all the main production has gone about it all wrong. No way I'd want to sit through the entire thing as it is unless the awkward overtones get cut out and the pacing picks up.

I think it's interesting for sure. I'd never heard that one about disneyland and the hearse. Crazy!!!
